My tuition in literacy, maths or study skills builds upon individual strengths and supports weaknesses.  Sessions are available for children aged 5-16 years and run for either 55 or 85 minutes according to the learner's needs. Sessions are charged at £45 or £60 accordingly and take place in my purpose built facility.  Travel is possible, please contact me to explore this option further. 

Every session may include:

• Sequencing or memory work
• Revision of previous learning
• New teaching and application to written work or problem solving
• Reflection time to focus on learning
• Games to build confidence and foster relationships

Most importantly, the sessions are personalised, focused on areas of interest and are designed at a pace to suit each and every learner.  Lessons incorporate multi-sensory learning to ensure maximum opportunity for deep learning while having fun and using a wide range of resources.

All sessions employ a growth mindset concept, building confidence and self-esteem.  Through this approach, children are supported to understand that the brain can grow and change and that we learn from our mistakes. As a result, we all have the ability to develop and acquire new skills, it just might take a little more practice and determination.
