Access Arrangements

Allowing learners with special educational needs access to assessment through 'reasonable adjustments'.

The Equality Act 2010 allows reasonable adjustments to be made to allow learners access to assessments without changing the demands of the assessment.  This means that the barriers to assessments are removed for learners with a specific learning difficulty.  These arrangements can include use of a laptop, scribe, 25% extra time or a reading pen.
