Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Assessment : Consultancy : Specialist Tuition : Equine Assisted Learning
All About Me
With over 25 years experience in education and 15 years expereince as a Headteacher and SENCo, I offer robust and well-thought-out guidance to support children and young people's learning.
I hold an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) for dyslexia and dyscalculia, meaning that I can assess learners up to the age of 16 years across both specific learning difficulties. I offer specialist tution in maths and English, supporting study skills for older learners.
As a unique part of my work, I can also support children with equine-assisted learning. Giving them a special opportunity to improve their mindset for learning, learn how to follow multi-step instructions and build thier confidence in spelling, reading and mathematics through activities involving 'Rocky' - the equine assisted learning pony.
Additionally, I offer consultancy and advice to families, schools and education providers, supporting them to navigate the SEND system, understand more about the complexities of neurdiversity and provide practice advice around how best to support learners.

The Working Space
A purpose built facility provides a warm and welcoming space for assessment, tuition and consultancy work.
Dedicated Access
The facility, adjacent to my home, is nestled in the charming South Downs village of West Meon yet provides ample parking and easy travel from surrounding areas. Please make your way up the stairs upon your arrival.
Light and Bright
The facility has a light, airy and spacious feel, with plenty of space for learning and meetings. Due to its location, there is plenty of space to take learning outside or to have an active break.
Facilities
The room is equipped for refreshments and the kettle is always on. Facilities are also available if a bathroom break is needed.
